Participation is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend attending, as the preliminary session may help you in the main contest.
We highly recommend attending in person to check your internet connection and the contest environment, and to try solving problems in advance.
The special prize for the preliminary-session problems is only for those who participate offline in the preliminary session.ย
If you absolutely cannot attend offline, we recommend participating online via the Baekjoon Online Judge Open Contest. ๐
If cheating occurs, you will be removed from the venue without warning.
In case of cheating, you will receive a score of 0 regardless of the reason, and you will be excluded from both the main contest and the open contest rankings.
You will also not receive the background/badge if you cheat.
It will be conducted via Baekjoon Online Judge. ๐
Your ID and password will be provided at the venue.
You must bring your own laptop.
You may bring up to one each of the following: laptop, keyboard, mouse, and monitor, and they must not be too loud.
For internet access, you must use one of the following:
Personal internet (recommended)
Korea University Wi-Fi (KU students only; authentication required)
eduroam (please look up how to use it on your own)

Power outlets will be available at the venue, so please bring your laptop charger.
If you are unable to prepare any required items due to unavoidable circumstances, please contact 010-4831-3499 in advance.
Please do not discuss or talk about the problems after the preliminary session ends and until the main contest ends.
This includes both online communities and offline conversations.ย
Even simple comments like โit was easy/hardโ are included.
Offline participation is the default, but if you cannot participate offline due to unavoidable circumstances, you may do one of the following:

You may also choose not to participate, but we do not recommend it.
For the preliminary session only, searching and using pre-written code are allowed.
However, any use of AI is strictly prohibited.
Since the difficulty has gotten easier and given the recent pace of AI development, it feels like the end of the human era has arrived.
Use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Cursor, etc. is absolutely prohibited, and if detected, it will be treated as cheating.
An exception is made for AI summaries shown on Google search result pages, which are allowed unavoidably; however, if you click โMoreโ or abuse this feature, it will be treated as cheating.
In the main contest, not only AI but also searching and the use of pre-written code are all prohibited.
Online IDEs such as Colab and IDEOne are also prohibited in the main contest.
Participation is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended.
For the preliminary-session special prize, it will be awarded only to offline participants.
On the day of the preliminary session, you can check your internet connection and test the contest environment.
In the preliminary session, devices such as a tablet (in addition to one laptop) may be used, but they cannot be used in the main contest.
Printed problem statements will be provided in either Korean or English, based on the language you selected when registering.
On the BOJ site and in the PDF uploaded there, you can view the statements in both languages.
The preliminary session has 6 problems.
The problem order is not sorted by difficulty.
The intended difficulty order is: PA < PD < PB < PC < PE < PF.
In the preliminary session, problems may include ones previously used in KCPC or MatKor Cup.
For testing purposes, the scoreboard will be frozen 30 minutes before the end of the preliminary session.
For the preliminary session, we will answer all reasonable questions.

For the preliminary session, late entry after 14:00 and early exit before 16:00 (mid-session entry/early departure) are allowed.
However, you must inform the staff in advance for headcount tracking.
When leaving, please return your name tag.
During the contest, you must not communicate with anyone other than the staffโthis includes other participants, outsiders, GPT, chess, Tetris, โSimSimi,โ or anyone else.
